So the party gets a 6 in my book. But omfg….the after party totally gets a 10.
Ok. I have to add this really quick….“Cincinnati, ur such a grimy city and I love u for that”. Lol
The Mad Frog was fun. It was just a regular bar on a corner street and a bitch to find. The place had two stages set up. One upstairs and one downstairs. The downstairs was nice and dark with wall coaches, backlights, and couple of lasers. The upstairs had two rooms with two full bars. The whole place had no ventilation so it was all stuffy. Blah….didn’t get any better @ the after party thou so I cant complain too much. The bathroom was clean but it was the size of my closet so both elbows were hitting the walls. Lol. It was small.
The kids @ the bar were cool, but overall the party had a weird vibe…maybe it was the fact that there was barely a crowd there. @ one point in Frankie Vega’s set it was just me and one other person in the room… I started to look around and think “wtf…” but whatever…. Stu, (Who found me. Hooray for him!) told me that most of the party kids were waiting to go to the after party and I totally understand why now.
Hands down to DJ Orphic and Frankie Vega. The two rocked my night @ the Mad Frog. I don’t remember Frankie being that short thou….lol
Ok. Now time to explain my experience @ the after party. Was total craziness…..
First off lets just say no more driving around Cinnci while party favors are in effect… That was all bad news right there. The kids that we went up to Cinnci with (Jackie and Duncan) got there first and to help me and Clay find the place they had a crowd of ppl, including the bouncer stand out in the middle of the road where the warehouse was flagging us down. Good job Jackie and Duncan!

U guys saved the nite! It was great. I loved every minute of it.
The after party is literally in a warehouse, but a small warehouse building. The place felt huge thou. When me and Jackie started to walk around it seemed like the rooms just went on and on and on… @ one point we looked @ each other in total confusion and broke down to the floor laughing.
When u first walk in u go down this hallway where the floor is lined with two rows of pretty blue lights and then u enter the main room. They had all kinds of art work up, steams of lasers shooting everywhere, couches, tables, a small area for dancing, an oxygen bar, speakers stacked on top of each other @ all four corners of the room, and DJ tables.
Also in the main room there was a wooden ladder that was barely holding together. I finally got up the nerve to climb it with the help of the new friend that I made name Goo (don’t ask…). The upstairs was basically a loft. It had couches, chairs, a water bed, a TV, and I think I saw a rack of clothes @ one point… Well anyways, to get back down without using the ladder again u had to slide down a fire pole. And let me tell u this was not an easy task. U literally had to leap to grab onto the pole, then pray that u are able to wrap your body around it and hold on to dear life while you slid down…. Yeah. Only went down that thing once, and that was good enough.
After u walk thru the main room u enter another room where someone painted a whole blacklight scenery of space with planets, stars, gods, and all kinds of other goodness for visuals. The scenery covered all four walls from the floor bottom to the ceiling. Tis was nice sitting in there for a while. There was also a set of stairs that lead down to the basement somewhere, but there was no light down there. I felt like it was a good idea to avoid that area considering my circumstances. Lol
@ the end of that room was a docking garage door that was open for ppl to go outside and chill out on some patio furniture. That was nice because once u started to sweat inside u didn't stop, and that made a bad combination with the no ventilation factor.
Besides the crazy environment surrounding me, I had a killer time. The vibe was soooo good. The crowd was eating up the DJ sets and each one that spun threw down and represented. What can I say… U gotta represent in Cinnci. Lol. Only heard 1 dub step song thou….. Mad props to DJ Gusto, DJ Dru, Stewart Allen, and last but not least, Elektrolyte. Omg…that was probably the best set I have ever heard him spin and I’ve seen Elektrolyte many times. It was such a drastic change and transformation from last year. I stomped the floor to his whole set and that right there says a lot…..
I laughed, tripped, chilled, slid down a fire pole, and got a nice moon beam show, and danced to some great beats. That night totally filled my appetite on the need to party @ a nice old skool style rave…
